The Future of the Internet, and embracing it to survive and prosper. Rethinking its place in our lives and workplace.

It's been said by the World Economic Forum and Germany's Max Plank Institute, that we are now entering the fourth Industrial Revolution. A digital revolution where we are no longer taking steps, but rather great leaps forward.

Surviving and Prospering

Considering the speed of change, the internet and accessibility of information being greater now more than ever before, what stories are we telling to attract the right candidates to the workforce and mold into the creative force we need to be to survive and prosper?

90% or more of the information found on the internet today was put there in the last two years and almost all of it was put up without peer review or subject to any real testing or analysis.

The conversation about the future of work, technology and its place in our future requires quick rethinking.

Work is changing faster than ever imagined - the phone is now a constant, however, where is the boundary, the balance between privacy, social and work? We’re addicted, but what are we doing to fix it? What is going to replace working from 9am to 5pm?

Additionally, the way we connect is changing, with 40% of professional employees feeling an unprecedented sense of loneliness, and the average person spending over 3.5 hours on phones a day.

One thing we know from our children, social media, the way we drive cars, conduct meetings, engage in the workplace, and with our family: something needs to change to restore balance.

The ‘Honeymoon Phase’ of technology has come to an end. How do we balance our increasing dependency on technology while still getting the most out of the people and relationships around us?

What do we need to do to build a modern life using technology, its connectivity yet access our cognitive creative individuality?

Internet Safety win over Instagram

[Title]

Is it possible that the internet is being taken back by a silent majority who is finally making its voice heard, expressing its dismay about internet safety and the shocking content found on some platforms.

Following some menacing threats from the British Government, Health Secretary Matt Hancock pressured Facebook into announcing that Instagram would intervene and take down self-harm content.

Is this the start of something big or simply a cynical defense move?
